Description

Net Steel supplied the complete steel structural solution for the main roof, the canopy, and the side cladding of warehouses 06, 07, 08, and 09 of a logistics complex in Itajaí (SC), totaling 43,704 m² of built area and 1,022 metric tons of steel. The system was developed to meet the operational requirements of the complex and includes trusses and transition beams for the main roof, roof purlins and a parapet beam for the canopy, gable columns and wall girts for the sides, rigid vertical ties reinforcing the cladding, a steel arch for the dock door, steel angle trim at the docks, and steel anchor bolts for fixing the floor piling.

Challenges

The project stood out for its large scale, involving the supply of a complete steel structure and the simultaneous execution of several stages, which required coordination among engineering, fabrication, and logistics. Due to unfavorable geotechnical conditions at the site, a patented solution was developed in partnership with Engel Pisos: an elevated precast floor supported on piles. The entire structure was built with 100% bolted connections, totaling more than 2.5 million holes, with no fabrication errors.
